I had the most rad time photographing Jo for her styled shoot and for someone who hasn’t modelled before, she sure did rock the camera like a pro. We held the shoot at my apartment and at a nearby park, it was freezing cold and the weather couldn’t make up its mind so we had to keep ducking in and out of doors. Jo has the most amazing wardrobe, we played around with different outfits, pairing denim on denim and leopard print and accessorising with hats. I asked Jo if I could feature her shoot and a short Q + A on my blog, she happily agreed and whad’ya know, the Kiwi gal loves Pavlova!
If you had to choose only one dessert (to eat) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Oh that is such a tough one! I have the biggest sweet tooth, which I definitely got from my dad. But if it was just one dessert, I would have to say a Pavlova topped with raspberries and passionfruit pulp. I make one every year at our family Christmas lunch and there are never any leftovers!
Australia or New Zealand?
Growing up in NZ, it will always be home for me. As much as I love Australia, nothing beats the beautiful NZ landscape. I feel very proud to come from such a beautiful country.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Ummm at the moment, I would have to say a reality tv show called Love Island UK. It is just one of those shows I find I can just relax, not have to think too much, but somehow I get very invested in the dramas!
What do you think is the most important issue in the world today?
One I am becoming much more passionate about is Sustainability and the effect we are having on the environment because of it. It really is a challenge though when so much of what we use is made of plastic.
What do you love about being a Mum?
After a long day at work, nothing can change my mood or put a smile on my face as fast, as seeing the joy on my son’s face. He is at such a beautiful but equally challenging age at 1 1/2. Learning new words by the day, but also learning how to throw the best tantrum for maximum effect! He definitely keeps me on my toes.
